It covers the principles of risk assessment, the relationship between hazard and risk and requires learners to use the knowledge learned on the course by undertaking a risk assessment, therefore laying a foundation for further development as a risk assessor.
- Guided learning hours (GLH): 20 - usually a two-day course
- Assessment Method:
- Part 1: Multiple choice examination 30 questions lasting 1 hour. Learners must achieve 20/30 in order to pass.
- Part 2: Practical Assessment Learners are expected to undertake a risk assessment, which will be internally assessed by the centre and externally moderated by HABC.
Businesses may be eligible to funding worth up to 50% of course fees for this course via the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership.
